What is Computer & Computer Science? A computer is a machine that can be programmed to do a series of logical or computational operations. Latest computers follow generalized sets of operations called programs. These programs permit the computer to carry out a wide range of tasks.
Computers are used as control systems for many consumer and industrial devices. These consist of simple single-purpose devices like microwaves and remote controls, factory devices such as industrial robots and computer-aided design, as well as multipurpose devices including personal computers and mobile devices i.e Smartphone
What is Computer Science (CS)?
In simple words, computer science is the study of information (data) and the method of using them (algorithms) to resolve problems theoretically and practically.
Computer science does not mean studying computers and does not always need the use of computers. It is also feasible to calculate data and algorithms using paper and automation. And it is more dependent on mathematics than computer-based which is why some prefer to use the term informatics instead of computer science.
